About me
I am a college student at Carnegie Mellon University (class of 2011) studying Information Systems and Statistics. I am also very interested in computer science, software development, database design, natural language processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning. I do some web development, but its not my favorite activity if you know what I mean.
I currently live in sunny Pittsburgh PA, but I'm originally from New Jersey. Recreationally, I love riding my bike(s) and longboarding. I am a member of the CMU Cycling Club, and I compete in road races. I like going to concerts and going on road trips. Also, I dabble in photography and Photoshop-ing, but I am very far from what you would call a graphic designer or an artist. This site will focus mainly on my more technical pursuits.
Somewhere between recreationally and seriously (whatever that means...), I do some programming in my spare time. My first big project was writing a chess AI in Java, you can read about it in here. In general, I like programming game solvers and I hope to write a search engine or recommendation system soon (I'm inspired by two great classes I'm currently taking, Data Mining and Search Engines).
